§ 25.
A subsidy not exceeding one-half of the actual cost
may be made towards the building of a new school or for extension or structural repairs to an existing school.
§ 26. The site, plans, estimates, specifications, title
and trust deed shall be previously approved by Government.
§ 27.
The trustees or other legal representatives of the
school must state by a declaration of trust to be registered
in the Land. Office :
(a) That the premises will be used solely for educational
purposes.
(b) That the school will be managed in accordance with the subsidy code in force for the time being.
(c) That if they should hereafter desire to release
thomselves from the foregoing obligations, they will
repay the whole amount of subsidy.
(a) That if required by the Director of Education they will execute a legal mortgage of the school premises to secure the repayment referred to in paragraph (c) of this
clause.
§ 28. The building subsidy is payable on presentation of a certificate (with balance sheet annexed) by the trustees or
other legal representatives of the school, setting forth that
the building and covenants are completed and that the money
in hand will, when added to the subsidy, meet all claims and
finally close the account.
§ 29.
A subsidy not exceeding one-half of the actual cost
may be made in aid of furniture or equipment of a permanent
or semi-permanent nature which in the opinion of the Director
of Education is necessary for any course of instruction approved
by him.
